Lisa Ronson, a leading marketing executive and Medibank’s Chief Marketing Officer, is being remembered as a deeply cherished woman who passed away in a farm accident.
Ms. Ronson, 52 died after an all-terrain vehicle crash on her property along Daylesford-Clunes Road in Ullina, near Daylesford, Victoria, on Saturday evening at 7 PM.
Emergency services were called to the scene, but despite their valiant efforts, Ms. Ronson succumbed to her injuries. Her sudden passing has sent shockwaves through both her family and the business community.
In an emotional statement, her husband, Chris Taylor, expressed profound grief at the loss of “the love of my life, my inspiration, and greatest supporter.” He shared their family’s heartbreak, saying:
“Our hearts are broken beyond words. Yet, in our sorrow, we hold onto the memories of her spirit, her smile, laughter, and the love she so generously shared. May her beautiful soul rest in peace.”
The couple had purchased their countryside property in Ullina in 2019, creating a sanctuary that reflected their shared love and joy. Mr. Taylor described it as a place filled with laughter, family, and cherished memories.
Lisa Ronson was at the pinnacle of her illustrious 25-year career in marketing and commercial leadership. She had joined Medibank as Chief Marketing Officer in July 2024, following four successful years as Chief Executive of Marketing at Coles.
Her tenure at Coles earned her accolades such as Australia’s Most Prolific Marketer and the Best of the Best Marketer of the Year in 2021. Ms. Ronson also served as a director for Wheelchair Rugby Australia and previously held a senior role at Tourism Australia.
Colleagues described her as a visionary leader and a driving force in the industry. Victoria Police confirmed that a report will be prepared for the coroner. Ms. Ronson's legacy as a dynamic professional, devoted wife, and cherished friend will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
