Billy Herbert "Chopper" Wallace, affectionately known as "Chopper," was a vibrant soul who lived his 49 years with an undeniable zest for life. Born and raised in Cullman, Alabama, Chopper was a man whose life revolved around three great passions: his family, motorcycles, and carpentry.
Known for his warm smile and open heart, he left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Chopper’s early years were shaped by his parents, Richard Wallace and Charlotte Andrews Wallace, who instilled in him a love for hard work, community, and family.
As a skilled carpenter, he found immense satisfaction in creating beautiful, functional pieces with his hands. His work, known for its precision and craftsmanship, graces the homes of many friends and family, serving as a lasting testament to his dedication and talent.
Motorcycles were more than just a hobby for Chopper; they were a way of life. He was a proud member of the Saints Motorcycle family, where he found camaraderie and a sense of belonging.
Whether he was riding through the countryside or working on his beloved bikes in the garage, Chopper found freedom and joy in the rumble of the open road. His motorcycle family became an extension of his own, offering support and companionship during life's highs and lows.
Family was the cornerstone of Chopper’s life. He cherished his children—Nathan (Elizabeth) Wallace, Jeannie Wallace, Brooke Wallace, and Brittiany (Desmond) Romero—and took immense pride in their accomplishments and growth.
As a grandfather, his joy multiplied, and he doted on his grandchildren: Brittany, Benjamin, Bristol, Violet, Beau, Kyler, and Levi. Known to them as "Grandpa Chopper," he was a source of unconditional love, stories, and laughter.
Chopper's love for his late wife, Jenn "Animal" Hearld, was legendary. Together, they shared a life filled with adventure, mutual respect, and unwavering affection. Her loss was profound, but Chopper carried her memory in his heart, often recounting their time together with warmth and gratitude.
Chopper’s simplicity and authenticity endeared him to all. He was a man who loved deeply and gave generously, whether through acts of kindness or the time he devoted to his loved ones. His ability to connect with people and his positive outlook made him a beacon of light in any gathering.
Though his passing on November 20, 2024, has left a void, Chopper’s legacy lives on in the lives of his family, friends, and the Saints Motorcycle community. His stories, laughter, and the lessons he imparted remain etched in the hearts of those who loved him.
A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date, where family and friends will gather to celebrate Chopper's extraordinary life—a life that exemplified love, loyalty, and the pursuit of happiness on two wheels and in the hearts of many.
